One of the most picturesque state parks in Georgia, Watson Mill Bridge contains the longest covered bridge in the state, spanning 229 feet across the South Fork River. Built in 1885 by Washington (W.W.) King, son of freed slave and famous covered-bridge builder Horace King, the bridge is supported by a town lattice truss system held firmly together with tree nails. At one time, Georgia had more than 200 covered bridges; today, less than 20 remain.

The plan is to go to the bridge, hang out take pics, then continue to head NW on back roads for about an hour then hit Boss Dawg, eta there about 2ish, after the lunch crowd.

Many thanks to Witmer's, Waldrop's, and the Bathurst's for doing the research run back in January.

Original cruise date in January was cancelled as we had sub-freezing temps.

According to Bill and Lorii Waldrop … who helped to do a research drive Jan 5 .

The food was good and paved parking.  There is also a paved parking area in back of the Restaurant where the Corvettes could park together.

There is inside dining and a screened in room on the side that might be good so the group could all sit together in a separate area.
