Cashiers NC - Ugly Dog - Day cruise Lunch Waterfall

CCA event - Drive & Lunch to North NC. As of June 28 we have 12 cars and 24 people signed up! Read here and below. We should visit Dry Falls and maybe Bridal Veil falls two of the many fantastic NC waterfalls. Dry Falls isn’t too hard of a short concrete paved path walk. We will go to Ugly Dog in Cashiers NC for lunch which is 10 miles - 18 minutes further from Highlands to Cashiers. Waterfall to visit is Dry Falls on Hwy 64 E - 4 miles outside downtown Highlands. Easy decent short path from parking lot to the waterfall. You can walk behind the waterfall. Not too strenuous to get back up to the cars. Plan is to do waterfall after lunch on way back. Harry & Vicky checked it out last year.

We will do some back roads from Pendergrass GA to get to Clayton GA on 441 (just south of Dillard). It's a 2 hour drive on the back roads from Pendergrass GA to Cashiers NC. With two pit stops count on close to 3 hours.

On your own decision you can join us to take back roads again to get home or you can go 441 south to 985 or to 85 for faster routes home.

Meetup start point at exit 137 on I-85 North at GA-129 - Jefferson/Athens
Meet up 9:00 AM - depart 9:30 AM

Exit 137 and go right at top of off ramp and go left at next light to Bojangles on the corner.

Several gas stations are very close nearby to fill up. Meet at Bojangles and you can get a quick breakfast.
